Hand knitted sweater in undyed very local fine Shetland lambswool from 5 farms in Devon and Cornwall. Cable raglan long sleeves. Slow textiles.

£295.00

Hand knitted sweater made entirely by hand with needles. Very local undyed fine Shetland lambswool from 5 farms in the PL and TQ postcodes in Devon and Cornwall. Expertly spun by The Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, only a few miles away from me. Undyed pure sheep colour. British wool breeds.

Deep grown on roll collar, long raglan sleeves with cable detail. Double rib cuffs and hems and side slits. The same front and back, so can be worn either way.

I am knitting this style of sweater in other beautiful British breed lambswools, dyed or undyed as the sheep intended.

Being hand knitted with needles, artisan handmade, there are slubs and irregularities which add to the unique quality. Some pilling is to be expected as this is pure lambswool.

Measurements : Large

Bust/chest : 42 inches unstretched
Length back neckline to hem : 24 inches.

Very local Shetland lambswool, hand knitted in my studio overlooking the wilds of Dartmoor.

Slow contemporary artisan textiles. Biodegradable, circular, sustainable and no waste.

Inspired by endless horizons across the wild moor, river and the open sea.... handspun, handknitted and handwoven pieces evoke the changing colours and moods of ancient Dartmoor.

Made by hand and designed to last.

Washing instructions :

Hand wash separately in hand hot water and gentle soap or non rinse wool wash, without agitation to avoid shrinkage and felting. Leave to soak then gently squeeze and lift out. Rinse gently in similar temperature hand hot water to avoid shocking the wool, from hot to cold. Roll in a towel to remove excess water and dry flat or hang over a rail away from direct heat.
